Dora High School Band Camp Schedule
Rehearsal times are real. Please be on time for every rehearsal (on time means that you are in your spot and ready to go before the written times)!
Monday,
July 21
7 am – Meet with full band in band room
7:30 am – 10:00 am -- Outside Rehearsal (fundamentals in marching block)
10:15 am – 11: 30 am – Inside Music Rehearsal (auxiliary / percussion are free to practice in your areas)
11:30 am – 12: 45 – Lunch Time
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Inside Music Rehearsal (auxiliary / percussion are free to practice in your areas)

Rehearsal during
the 1-3 sessions may end some days on the practice field. We will always end
rehearsals together. Auxiliary / percussion will be informed each day where the
wind players will be before the end of rehearsal.
Tuesday,
July 22 – Friday, August 1

Schedule is subject to change as camp progresses. We will always end rehearsal
promptly at 3pm during camp.
Frequent breaks will be taken during outside rehearsals. Please remember to bring sunscreen and water. I would ask that you reapply your sunscreen during each break for safety purposes. It is mandatory that everyone in the band drinks water or PowerAde/Gatorade type liquids. Try to stay away from sugary drinks. SODAS are not to be consumed during outside rehearsals, and limited during lunch breaks!! These types of liquids dry you out, and we can not afford for anyone to dehydrated during summer camp.
If you would like to bring a towel to place your instruments on during breaks, and rehearsal time, please do so.
I would like to ask that cell phones not be present on the practice field or in rehearsals. We will be working hard, and it is time consuming when cell phones ring during a rehearsal.
